Dr. Kirsis is a member of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Class of 2004. He furthered his dental education by working on patients for the betterment of the College of Dentistry's Advanced Education in General Dentistry client pool for 1 year, and received his diploma in 2005.

Dr. Kirsis and his wife Theresa enjoy spending time with their son Andris, and reside in Urbandale. Dr. Kirsis is excited to be part of the team at Ballard Dental Associates, where he can keep enhancing and growing his clinical dental skills. He is focused on continued development of  his laser and airway dentistry skills, as well as improving the  oral health, esthetic appearance, jaw function, and comfort of his patients.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Des Moines District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the GV Black Dental Study Club, one of the longest termed and most prestigious dental study clubs in the state of Iowa.

Dr. Kirsis enjoys most any outdoor activities, considers himself an avid gardener, and likes to "roam from home", regardless the distance, when the opportunities present themselves. He is an avid college football fan, and a University of Iowa athletics, Chicago Cubs, and Kansas City Royals fan.
